Two new reviews from Chain D.L.K.:
BLÆRG, "Dysphoric Sonorities".
After listening to Life Toward Twilight, I put this on and was not quite prepared for what came out of the speakers. BLÆRG unloads with both barrels, throwing down some harsh broken beats that reminds me a lot of Venetian Snares. But not all of it is so spastic. "Thrice Vexed" has its moments of calm mixed with the beats and "Crepuscular Harlotry" sounds like what would happen if there was a breakcore Bollywood soundtrack. Overall, this is complicated (but certainly not random), noisy beats mixed with lilting synth lines...

AMNION, EXP 1
Now available exclusively as a free download via Bottle Imp Productions.
In a lonely room a boy sits, slowly turning the broken knobs on an old AM radio. Between the indistinct scraps of local ball games and talk show pundits he hears the thin traces of a far off signal, these flashes of choreographed static sounding somehow purposeful through the random noises. He adjusts the dial, moves between windows, fashions an antenna from a knotted slinky coil and is rewarded for his feeble efforts. The song of distant spaces reaches his ears. A song whose waves have been stretched...

Now available, BLÆRG, "Auspices and Vagaries".
Ever watch a 60's movie set in the future? The kind where the sets are stark white with oddly shaped chairs in bright colors that don't look the least bit comfortable, where the cars fly but are roughly the size of pontoons, where people get their meals by speaking into little boxes and out pops a plate with a small, unnaturally colored cube on it? Yes, it all looks futuristic and ultra-modern but it still, without a doubt, is stamped with the impression of an era long past and it's still really cool.
BLÆRG's latest release, a 3" CD by the name...

The Silent Ballet posted a review for Bramble's "Emergence":
Fans of breakcore will recognize Scott Wehman as the mastermind behind Ohio's unfortunately named Blaerg, a purveyor of the kind of hyperactive lunacy that has served Venetian Snares and Autechre so well. Under his Bramble guise, however, Wehman abandons the schizophrenic beats of his other project for a sound that's far more sedate, if no less unsettling.
His third release (following 2007's Dynamism and Innate) is an exercise in haunted ambience, an ethereal collection of spectral soundscapes. Comprised of three lengthy ambient...

Thank you to everyone who ordered stuff last week to help my dog. We took him in Friday, and he has an enlarged heart, which is affecting his breathing. We now have him on a new prescription that should help. He has a followup appointment this Saturday. All of this is very expensive, so we really appreciate the help! Thank you again!

My dog, Louis, has a bad heart and requires quite a number of tests so we can figure out how to fix his problem. His heart is a bit swollen and it is affecting his breathing, causing him to have coughing fits. He has a serious condition, but he is in good spirits and otherwise healthy. These tests are, of course, quite expensive, so I have setup a sale to help generate a little extra money to help out.
The sale is over. Thanks for the support!
